ok in about two weeks ill be getting my taxs return and its going to be a little over 800 and my dad said i cant spend more then 400 of it on my car says i need to start savin for college!! so i have been wanting to get my car dynoed and tuned ever since i have gotten stage 2 and that will cost right at 400 and after seeing 06_SS_SS/SC car with stripes i really like the way it looks!!! and thats going to cost about 350 so what do i do? do i go with the dyno or go with the stripes?

my mods so far is a stage 2,nates 2.9,magnaflow 2.5 catback,and a Fujita Cold Air Intake

But I picked Dyno & Tune, b/c dyno & tune it first...

Than you can do the stripes when you have some extra money layin around.

 

thats what ive been thinking but if i get the strips kids at college will notice me a lot more!

People will notice you anyways, when they hear the blower as you fly past.

 

Dyno and tune cause it will make your car faster and get better gas mileage if you stay out of boost.

If you are really interested in stripes I would pm 06 SS SC. That is his car that you used for example pics.

 

i have we have pm each other a little i asked him what color the vinyl was and he told me if i get it done what kind of vinyl to ask for so in a few years it doesnt start to faid and look like crap!!

 

I vote tune. Get some nice extra power out of your mods.

While the stripes do look great, I voted for the tune, you will love the difference granted the tuner is good.

 

Ok...before the stipes go on, just hear me out...I have the exact same setup you do...GM Stage II, Intake, Mani, Exhaust, Nates 2.9....just take a look at this dyno sheet before and after a tune...then decide how you'll spend you're $400...and thats shutting it down early...

 

love the way it sounds!!! just wish i had the header and down pipe with a high flow cat!!! but the magnaflow was the best thing ive done so far to my car!! lol a few kids in town wont even try to race me b/c of the way it sounds lol!!

Yeah the tune is a must...sorry man...if you wanna spend your $$ wisely...get the tune.

Stipes?! Sorry...no hp gain there...if you want good looks then hell yeah.

However...me and 2/3 of the people on this site with a tune would spank a Gm Stge II...

It did take some time...but if the guy knows what he's doing...it will take a few dyno runs...dial in all the right ish...ya know? Best money ever spent...

 

I hope your not serious. I hate to act like all people are terrible, but college is not cobaltss.net where people love to talk about car ****. There is alot of ****** in the world, especially when you bring a bunch of kids togetha who wanna show how cool they can be. It only takes one kid to see how nice your ride is and how nice his ride is NOT and thats all it takes for your car to get keyed, tires slashed etc. I find it better to not attract a bunch of attention to my car when its going to be surronded by immature people
