Need some help with an idea...

Ok, on my 3rd brake light, I want it to light up "Cobalt SS" and i'm not buying the 3M Vinyls you see online because they don't weather well...

so what I need is some stickers that say Cobalt SS but I want the script to look right, the reason why is i'm going to put them on my 3rd brake light, spray it with VHT night shade, and then of course, remove the stickers so that Cobalt SS appears unpainted...

so any ideas where I can find some stickers like this???

I kind of need the reverse of what you see online with the 3M vinyls

I've did this with my Trans Am, except it lights up "You Lose"

I can make my own, just looking to see if there was some already out there to save me the hassle.... I may just end up buying the 3m Vinyls(they are like $14) and using them as the template to get the script right, but like I said, a sticker would be a lot easier to work with...

also does anyone know of a way to get an overlay or even change the rear Chevy emblem? I don't want to debadge, but the Gold looks stupid as hell, I want it Silver, to match Cobalt SS and the Turbocharged emblem, you know......what GM SHOULD have did

Print it out on paper, tape it to the light, tape the holes. (ghetto way)

the thing is, I need it to stick to the light for painting purposes, a "stencil" won't help me

Your right, now matter how good the "tape" is on there, there could be leakage under the stencil.

Um? Id say your best bet is that decal. Or free hand it with a sharpie.

what i need is a sheet of the vinyl they use... with my Trans Am, I had gotten lucky and found some lettering that was the right size that was used as Mailbox lettering, and since I was putting a generic thing, the script wasn't overly important, worked great... But with this, the SS needs to be the right script as a generic SS script looks, well, generic

i'd like the SS to be something like what is in my sig, or even the script of the real SS badge, either one i'd be content with

BINGO:

http://www.stickercity.com/15-x-line...ker-sheet.html

exactly what I was needing, and cheap as hell

good Lord, they are making a killing off of those vinyls, its $3.50 a linear foot(a foot is all I need) but with 10ft.($35) you could make quite a few of those things

I got to thinking about that when smoking my tail lights, you can find them quite frequently on ebay, CHEAP... I bought my whole set of extra OEM lights for $60 shipped, a can VHT night shade, $20(with shipping), which would do a couple of pair... smoked tails sell for $120 a set(plus shipping)... you could sell them for $100, undercut the competition and still make a nice profit, just isn't worth my time... and if you worked out a "core" charge for the people wanting to just trade out their stockers(and knocked their price down to $50), you'd probably do really well with it

I'm just going to buy a few feet of that stuff, so I can experiment with other lights as well... some of my friends aren't exactly artistically gifted and turn to me for **** like this

whereas, I am never done modifying a car, neither cosmetic or mechanically... Now i'm not one to throw on body kits and ****, I like tasteful mods, the headlights are probably the most extreme exterior mod i've ever put on a car
