Need your option please

I have a 09 ls cobalt.

Should i keep the ls and spend like $9,000 in stuff for it or should I buy a SS/sc and spend like $2,000 on it ?

why not trade it in on an sstc that outperfoms the sc by a mile and 350 extra for a trifecta tune blows away anything you'd be able to do to an sc for 2k. not to mention the tc's suspension/handling is far better than an sc.

I'd look at what you're going to get on trade-in first and then weigh your options. If you're looking to put $9,000 into an LS then you're likely better off finding a used SS/SC and putting some money into performance. If your car were 4 years old I'd say go for it, but the fact it's an 09 and you're looking to trade isn't going to be real economical imo.

most dealers on well give $8,500 to $9,500 for trade and if i bought a ss/tc I wouldn't have any money for mods

If all you're looking for is more power than your LS then the SC or TC while more expensive will keep you occupied long enough to save up for future mods . I dunno guess it depends on your financial situation; when I had my 05 LS I thought of biting on an SC numerous times but never did, it didn't make financial sense. After 4 years of owning the car my lien was 95% paid off so on my trade-in I got more back towards the TC which I couldn't pass up.

at no point would i ever put that kind of money into an LS....i reccommend putting 9k towards something that would be a much better and worthwhile starting point

lol... for 9 grand do a motor tranny swap to the LNF, tune, and more...

if not, hmm..

increase ur CR, forge your internals, CF EVERYTHING, Volk rims, 250lbs shot of nitrous lmfao...

bro, 9 grand is a lot of money to WASTE on a car.. but if ur gonna waste it, nd are set to an LS which it seems you are, then forge everything, and increase ur CR. That'd be sick.

Curious,....you obviously have a LOT of money just burning a hole in your pocket. Why do you have a Cobalt ls?

you wont even need to mod a TC if you dont want. I mean they come pretty fast in comparison to a SC/ss or a ls/lt.

You claim to have an STI with 75k in it,yet need to ask a Cobalt forum if you should put 9k into an LS while you are upside down in it.Absolutely none of this makes sense to me.
