so i bought my 06 cobalt ss/sc about a month ago and it has been acting up.. first the engine light came on bc the motor was running to lean now a code came on saying running to rich and my tech said it was fine to run for a little bit untill my parts come in... yeaterday i had it towed into my dealership bc the idle wouldnt stead (idled from 200 rpm-3000) at all and it wasnt drivable.. it has a 2.5 intense and 60lbs in to (im taking out as soon as i get my car bak).. the guy before me put all this garbage in probably not knowing how to tune it.. so im assuming its becuase of the tune bc i just replaced the cat about 200 miles ago.. it has 21k miles on it on it so its basicly brand new.. lol now my dealership claims there going to check the "black box" to see what i have been doing... the funny thing is after the second week i couldnt go past 4k rpm becuase it lost power and just jerked until i let off the gas... does this sound like a tunning problem?... lol i can't even enjoy my car

 

lol @ black box. all they can see is the parameters that happened when the CEL code was set. it probably has an intense can tune on it. they are garbage

 

ya i no intense it garbage.. i just assume the guy before me didnt take care of it.. ya i dont no why they feel they need to look at the black box... but when the lean code came on they did reset the flash so that could of messed some stuff up who knows.. lol i just really want my car..

 

if they reflashed the car with a stock tune then yeah the car is gonna run even worse. it probably has 60lb injectors, the stock injectors are 34lb's. pretty much double the amount of fuel is running through there

 

yep.. so there trying to put the blame on me for messing the car up lol.. so u think all it is, is the tune?.. thats what i figured

 

yes its the tune, search for a tuner on here pay the 100-300 bucks and have a slick car
