Talking New to the board

After an extended period of browsing the board and dreaming of finally having the opportunity to find the right Cobalt, the time has finally come! Here's my first post outlining my new car!

I was lucky enough to find an untouched (bone stock) 2005 Cobalt SS/SC with 37k miles and jumped at the opportunity to finally own one. I've always wanted one since they first came out and it's a dream come true for me.

Here's a pic:

Most wouldn't consider a Cobalt to be a "dream car," so let me explain where I'm coming from. I've been an avid Chevy J Body enthusiast for years; owning two 2nd gen Z24 Cavaliers. My '91 was featured as "Car of the Month" on V6Z24.com (way) back in June of 2007.

Anyway, now that I'm officially a member, I look forward to interacting with you all!

Usually on level 5. However, I also carpool three times a week in my buddy's Maxima. So chances are you may not have seen it. I also have the z24, a silver 2008 Jeep Liberty (wife's car) and a red 3rd Gen Firebird. The Firebird has never seen snow, so only shows up during the summer. I drive the Jeep when my wife needs gas for the week - I usually get it at the employee gas station. Any other time, I'm in the Z. I've only driven the SS to work twice.

Thanks guys. Don't car for the flaps either. Did they come stock with the car or were they a "dealer add on?" Although it's hard to see, they are on both the front and rear. I remember my '89 had them in the front and even had the Z24 logo on them.
