Question New Cobalt owner. I have a few questions!

Alright, so as the title suggests, I bought a Cobalt SS (06) on Sunday. I have a few questions about the SS, and one not about it.

1) I couldn't find a direct answer no matter how hard I tried searching. I'm assuming each model of the Cobalt has different tail lights? On my car, only my far-lights turn on. DMV told me I "may possibly have some of my brake lights out", so I was trying to figure out if my car model only had 2 back lights (and the "3rd" brake light above) or 4 lights. I always thought the Cobalts with the mini-clear circles in the lights were just decor.

2) I have been torn between getting an aftermarket exhaust kit and not. I love the sound the supercharger makes. (The strong hum when you hit higher RPMs). I am unsure if that sound would be quieter than the exhaust however. That aside, this video holds my last 2 questions: Should I get a Magnaflow for my SS? My friend has a Celica GTS with a Greddy exhaust and it sounds pretty good, I want something like his. The deep sound. However his has a strange rattle going on as you'll hear in the video. He was told it was because of internal parts being loose. If anyone knows what it might be, please feel free to chip in.

video:

Thank you for your time!
Apologies if wrong section.

All cobalts have the same tails (coupes) the outer are the brake lights/turn signals and the ones in the trunk are only for reverse lights, for lsj exhaust I think zzp is your best option

How did I not think of that?

Thank you, Snail_SS!

I was confused because I saw pictures of some SS' with all 4 lit up. I guess that's aftermarket?

Yup they are aftermarket they usually call them gtr style tails. Check out zzpperformance for some exhaust options. Not a problem glad to help

the lsj has more of a drone then the lnf does when it comes to an exhuast. your best bet will probably be to go with zzperformance. they have great quality stuff at a good price.

Thanks guys. I will surely look'em up. Just always worried I'll spend too much and end up with something disappointing. There's a local car show in a couple weeks, I'm hoping to see an SS or two there with aftermarket exhausts to get an idea.

Yeah, I was doing that before I made the post. However, cell phone quality doesn't help too much. I just gotta dig through a few to find solid ones.

zzp will be your best bet because 2 of the best sounding exhausts for a supercharged cobalt are almost impossible to find now. that being the corsa and the GMPP exhausts.
