New Mods, How much Gain?

Just wanted to see everyones opinions on how I will do this season. As soon as my car is finished I plan on going back to the track that I did best at. Cecil County, MD. Best run of a 13.6 @108mph. Had a 2.4 60" time. So, the big question is....

What will I gain with the new mods.

Last Season:
Stage II
Injen CAI
Ingall's ETD
GMP Touring Exhaust
Smoked the tires of until burning hot baby!

This Season:
Stage II
Injen CAI
Ingall's ETD
GMP Touring Exhaust
Drag Radials
GMP Dual Pass Endplate w/ Extra Tank (Option B)
GMP Manifold
2.9 light weight pulley
B&M Short Throw

How much will I gain from the extra in red?
Keep in mind I'm going to try my best to run on a night with the same conditions as last year. I have to make it count when I can go to the track. My Goal = 12.98 @ 109 w/ 2.0 60" Thanks for your inputs guys and girls.

The DR's will make a HUGE difference. I think if everything goes well, you should be close to, if not at 13.0.

I would be thrilled with a 13 flat. My goal is a 12.98 though
To reach my goal it is going to take one hell of a driver mod. Last year I had it but this year I have been driving around a beater car with like 98whp lol. 1989 Geo Spectrum.

I think you could do it!

BTW, that would be 3 seconds faster than me.

It will only get better. I had a extemly good night. At first I could not break into the 13s and I was getting really pissed off. Ran back to back hitting like 106 trap speeds in the 14s. Finally was able to launch the car correctly and pull second gear at the right time. It was just getting better all night. 13.7s most of the time. I onlt ran twice hitting 13.6.

Edit Post: Some black WRX Sti was trapping at like 109 in the mid 12s. Like 12.4 @ 109. I was like WTF I hit 108 and I'm in the mid 13s haha. I think hes 60" times were like 1.5 lol.

I just edited my post. *cough* Three seconds *cough*

If you could hit a 2.0 or 2.1 60' you would be absolutely golden.

Yea right? That is almost hard to fathom. I must say though it takes alot of time. I been doing this for years. I know a guy with stage II and some other mods running like mid 14s. Its the best he can do. Then I showed him some things and ran his car. LOL ran a 13.9 on my first try. He learned though cuz now hes a 13.8-13.9 car all the time.

I'm a little scared about axles. Ohh well, if they break getting the upgraded ones I guess. I just hope not to soon. I'm not ready for that lol.

Your time from last year is ridiculous for those mods! You must have drag racing driver mod 4.0 or something. Congratulations!

I fear for you though with the DRs on those stock axles. I'm sure if you get them to hook (and everything stays in one piece) you'll be damn close to 12's. I haven't gone to the track because I'm scared about hopping my axles. But that's just because I don't have the money to replace them (MY WIFE WOULD KILL ME). However, my goal is to able to consistently get into the 13's with my setup (which is pretty close to yours from last year) and possibly adding an ETD, so you give me hope. Realistically though I think you'll keep hitting 13.1 and 13.2 because it seems like there is some invisible barrier keeping all the balts from the 12's, but good luck trying and keep us updated.

ROFL, I think I honestly have driver mod x1000000. The track was really preped well and the weather was perfect. I could not of asked for a better night. BBrrrriisskkkk lol

And yea, I'm glad I can give you hope. I really think these balts are under rated. It has alot to do with a driver with these FWD cars.

You know, I just realized I can't go with the 2.9 pulley. If anything I could get the GMP stage III pulley. If I get the one Nate makes it won't be all GMP anymore. Ohh well, even if I do use the 2.9 it still is damn quick for the mods I have. I am also thinking the axles may hold up since I do not have mounts other then ETD. If I had mounts and the hole deal then I would be even more worried. Time will tell...

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you're going to gain broken axles or a smoked clutch.

What size and kind of DR's did you go with? Sizing makes a big difference.

Your trap speed for the 12.98 is definately there, it will all be in the 60', which as you know is the week spot of these cars anyway. Good luck though.

i would it not put it past you to run it in sub 13's or 13.0

what i would give for your track conditions :P

I honestly think a year of driving experience will help you more than any of those mods.

2.4 60ft? you have at LEAST 4/10ths of quarter mile time sitting there.
its possible to do a 2.1 60ft, even better if you nail it.

with DRs, and good driving, you should be sub 2.0 60fts....
ive heard a rule of thumb is every 0.1s of 60ft time, is worth 0.2 at the 1/4.

I see a 12 second pass as possible for sure, if you can get the same conditions that you ran your 13.6 in.

good luck man

Yea, it has been really hot so track won't be as good as last time I went. I want to go and practice anyways because tires will be alot differant. Thanks for the support.

i think you'd be looking at sub 12 second passes if your axles and clutch can take the abuse. but i doubt you will trap a 109. probably more like 102 or something. The DRs lower 60' times and will in turn lower trap speeds a little.

but according to all of your times listed, you car has been trapping high since it was stock.. so IDK..

Good Luck
