New SS owner looking for tips

Hi guy, im new here and id like to say hello to everybody. So 2 years ago i seen the cobalt SS sc on t.v, "wow i want that car" is all i coould say at the time ( considering the fact that i was 16), so time passed and i did everthing in my power to save money so that 1 lucky day i might be able to go get one of them bad ass looking cars. Well that day finaly come 2 days ago. I went down to the local chevey dealership and asked them were they kept the cobalt SS sc's and the guy said, ' Cobalt's?....u mean Cobalt...we only have 1 SS sc'. So at that point i new it was destiny. Took it for a test drive....loved it.....came back and talked numbers....and low and behold an 18 year old kid got a credit approval with no co-signer and only $1,000 down....and there just happen to be that 0% intrest thing going on as well =). Next day i came back and i drove it off the show room. So i been doing a lot of drive since i got it...and i love it to death but there was a few things i wanted to ask you fellas... 1 being TRACTION!!, is there and thing i can do about the wheel hop? and mounting kits or engine dampers?......2 being rev limiter, any thing i can do about that as well?..... and lastly how much psi can the supercharger REALY put out?....any kind of input would be much appreciated. =)

First.....welcome to the community!!

Second.......use the SEARCH Button

Third.....I'll answer some of your questions....remember these are OPINIONS!

WHEEL HOP: Go to INTENSE They are GREAT!! they have a suspension package. works wonders!

REV LIMITER: You can do multiple things... get intense's stage kits(recommended) , gm stage kits, or buy HP Tuners and increase it yourself.

PSI: We've seen as much as 24 PSI but guy blew his head gasket! I run 19 and have no problems.....yet (INTENSE Stage 4 w/ 2.5", CAI, QTP Electric cutout).

REMEMBER THESE ARE OPINIONS!! Choice is really up to you

You can cure wheelhop with the Ingalls ETD Here is a link.

As far as the rev limiter goes, GM Stage 2 pushes the rev limiter to 7,000rpm
You need stage 2 to up the rev limiter or HPTuners Software.

The smallest pulley I recomend using for our supercharger is a 2.5"
I think that yeilds around 20psi.

1)if you go with engine dampers such as the TorqueForward Torque brace and/or poly (semi-solid) engine mounts and/or a set of conrol arm bushings....

any 1 of these or all of them will help reduce/get rid of wheel hop.

2)the rev limiter can be changed 2 differant ways...
eather with a GM stage 1 or stage 2 tune bumbs the limiter to 7k or you can go with the HPTuners softwear and make it any number you want....becarefull if you do that becasue our stock valve train starts to "float" at 7500

3)the eaton m62 we have is capeible of makeing 20psi or so....but at the leavel or any higher you heat the incomeing air charge so much that its becomeing very ineff

enjoy the car!!!

what color, options

you can boost as much as you want..... you just need the supporting mods to do it.... like direct meth cooling or something of that sort. If you can't afford things of that nature I would go no higher than 19psi . Even at 19 psi I would keep an eye on the temperature of the air entering/holding/leaving. Also the oil pressure and temp.
