New water injection
New water injection
I have a 2007 SS/SC I bought new, so it hasnt been messed with.I left the car parked in my parking lot for a full week, from Friday to Friday. It rained Sat and Sun but was dry all week, so the next friday I go to take it to work and its stalling, and spuddering, and feels like a civic, But, on my way home she ran fine. That monday I take her to the dealer and I cant get her over 60mph and cant give her any throttle. Apparently, somehow, The air box filled with regular water and I had to have a new air filter and MAF put in.The first question they asked was how big was the puddle... I told them I try not to drive the car in the rain, luckily my girlfriend works there and they believed me since they said its obvious I take care of the car. But still NOBODY has been able to give me an answer as to how, or why this happened. Maybe i should be looking into a injen.
GM actually released a bulletin on this issue.
I found out my OEM filter had been saturated when I did the airbox mod. Just drill holes in the bottom of the airbox for water to drain out.
