Nice Close to Matching Gauges

06 SS/SC

I went mechanical with my boost gauge, am adding oil pressure, and a wideband. I picked up Depo tinted gauges because they matched that innovative wide band and I hate them. They are slow to respond and the tinted glass make for a hard daytime read.

I am thinking about going with Sport Comp II's but idk yet. What is everyone else using? I dont want digital read outs though. Anyone have any feedback? Wish I had a race shop anywhere near me so I could actually see something before buying it.

Have you considered glowshift or autometer? The gauges in the first pic look like some eBay junk.

Glowshift is pretty much eBay junk. These depo ones I bought dont seem to be much better.

Yes, Ive been looking around, however, I am asking for ideas based on what people have...

Never mind.

Filed to return the crappy gauges i have and promptly scored a sweet deal on Autometer Cobalt series mechanical boost (-30 to 20psi), electric water (tapping the IC system), and full sweep electric oil pressure. Total cost will be about the same as the two crappy gauges I am returning. Win.

FWIW, I highly recommend AVOIDING Depo Racing gauges....

Need a new boost gauge. My 20 psi factory gauge isn't enough. I like that autometer one you posted above.

The Sport Comp II and Cobalt sereies by Autometer are both nice.

Also, the SS/TC 30psi stock gauge is plug and play to the earlier SS/SS.

I choose to go with these (mainly because while I was deciding between the two i mentioned I found sweet deals on these)

And what was the issue? I read up on it and it seems it works no issue.

Sorry.
Just scored one on eBay for $51.00
I was waiting to see if I was going to win that auction for less than your asking price.

Don't know why you would use anything besides Autometer. They provide the stock boost gauge, I'm sure you can find some matching gauges for the other two.

That 'cobalt' gauge pisted above has very similar stripes and fonts for the numbers compared to our stock ones. I wonder if they/would make those with black faces white numbers and red stripes!

They are close.
I am just going to black cat my cluster though. Exactly the same as stock but with a blue line and blue DIC insead of the red line and green DIC.
Should match the cobalts almost perfectly

Have you been out in the day light yet?
One of my problems is the sun washes out the LED in the tinted gauge and then you cant see them at all. Although I am sure that Innovative is better quality than Depo.

Yes, in the sun the led backlight is bright enough to overcome the brightness of the day, I have been running these for about 4-5 months so far.

Sweet, definitely need quality gauges if you go tinted.

I got all of my Autometer Cobalts in. SOO much better. Love them.

Have a water temp one in where the full sweep electric oil pressure will go (it hasnt arrived yet, was supposed to have shipped with my boost gauge)
