Nitrous Or Tvs??

alright guys got the tax refund back i have about 2k to work with. My car is sitting at about 280ish to the wheels right now. I was debating on what to do.
1. Nitrous with rotated trans mounts upgrade my cobra HE And upgrade to a 3inch exhaust

2. Get the TVS

now the reason im leaning more toward the nitrous is i have a good setup right now and can get a GOOD kit and extras, If i get the TVS ill only have money for that and have to run the stock pulley on my 60's right now.

Now question is i know with a 50 shot on my setup i should be around 330ish to the wheels on the stock pulley for the tvs with a good tune what should i expect. Im not worried about problems as i am a certified mechanic and can fix whatever issues arrise (#4 taking a **** on me.) So opinons everyone discuss!!!

For the record im on a 2.7in pulley and im pretty sure i havent seen anyone spray on that size yet?

i think someone sold just their supercharger for like $300, so you could sell yours, add couple more dollars to it and get the whole kit for $2600

http://www.ottperformance.com/Cobalt...duct_info.html

but def go tvs.
i think nos should go as a last resort to anything, like it should be the last thing done for performance. but my opinion.

thats so tempting isnt Area making the most power on the tvs though i know hes a hell of a tuner and i think is sitting around 350whp ( not sure area dont get offended) but whos laying down some serious numbers with this thing and some 12 second track times?

The tvs stock at the original time of purchase, before this group buy was even a thought was 2250 plus tax. They were going for 1700 with the group buy. Saying it was a steal isn't even the right way to explain it. If you decided to get the tvs, you would be the second, and we already know how to install and tune it. If you're in Newport news and decide to go the nitrous route, we can see which one proves to be better. I just like the idea of having something that is constant and not dependent on the bottle. Plus you know how virginia is. I don't even think nitrous in a vehicle is legal. So I would look into that as well.

nitrous.youll spend a third of the money and off the bat make alot more power than the tvs.it takes quite a bit of mods to get the tvs well over 300whp,although it is capable. but youd spend 3 times as much.n20 well get u around 350whp id bet and u dont have to hardly change ur set up now at all.and for the heads up, pm 409cobalt07 he is selling a UNUSED BRAND NEW nitrous kit that cost him almost 1400 bucks for 750shipped!

im a mechanic at the Firestone in hampton ASE certified and a Virginia state inspector i know all about the laws. you can have a nitrous setup in your car just cant have the bottle open with the lines purged (thus a remote bottle opener will be on the car if i go this route) Deathscythe i like the thought of the TVS but from your thread you only laid down 260ish on the blower im making more than that right now on my 2.7 setup. If youve been to the car shows here and seen A black balt With V82LATE on the plate youve seen my car. Who do you have tuning your car?

yeah ive talked to him and another member about their kit thanks

wasnt a shot at you death dont take it that way but if i go TVS im only gonna have money for the blower and have to run the stock pulley and ill be dam if i make less power than i am now. Thus the reason why i asked who tuned you and where did you dyno at out of curiousity in Norfolk?

Ah. I'd say TVS too then. If I were making the choice, I rather have an SC than nitrous.

i kno a local guy that had tvs installd and dynoed 250sumthing on mustang dyno and then blew his motor.i kno that varies but still why spend 2500plus to make most likely the same power u have now unless u spend even more in supporting mods that give u what 320whp MAYBE? **** less than a grande and get alot more power than that easily without even having to spending the time or money on tuning
