No power to blower motor

I'm working on an '06 Cobalt, and there is no power getting to the HVAC blower motor. The fuse and relay are both good, but there is no power coming from the #30 terminal for the relay (what a strange place to put the fuse block!).

I'm not really familiar with these cars, so I was hoping that someone could tell me what else I need to check since I don't have a factory service manual.

Nope. The customer said that initially it wouldn't work on any speed except high, then it stopped working altogether.

Oh, I forgot to mention that the blower motor resistor is new.

(Stupid question) Did you check the fuse under the hood?

If the fuse is okay poke around behind the A/C control head and see if there's any obvious problem.

you may want to re-check to make sure it was installed correctly or didn't blow out again. there could be a short causing it to blow out. a double check can work wonders.

Disconnect the blower motor, and use a test light attached to power on one end and attach the other end to the orange wire in position A of the blower connector. The light should come on at varying brilliance based on what speed you select, if it doesnt come on at all then youve likely got a bad ground or control head, if it works normally youve got a power side issue.

Do those checks and then youll be down to, BCM, fuse block or wiring repair.
