What does it matter what it looks like, nobody can see it. If you cut the walls off it will get better flow look at pretty much every CAI, air is pulled from the sides. It's there to keep it quiet pretty much..

K&N Engineers said that theres up to 1" varance in that. My car cannot run a K&N intake without it damaging the brake lines but you might be okay. Also watch for interferance between your PCM and the intake tube.
Is there the same issue with the Injen set-up, or no??
