Exclamation Not Your Average E-Brake Problem...HELP!!!

I've done TONS of searches and I can find anything that helps me. Obviously I was sick of the E-Brick we have so I went out and bought this:

So obviously I've done plenty of research to find out how to get this handle to fit on the AVERAGE E-brake that looks like this:

WELLLLLLLLLL to my surprise mine doesn't look like that, and from the searches I've done NOBODY has one the looks as impossibly retarded as mine:

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated on to do to this brake to get my new handle to fit! PLEASE HELP!!!!

After hours of looking at it, searching the forums, doing some calculations that included the pythagorean theorem and another few hours of looking at it, this was my exact conclusion.

thats okay, its just missing the plastic, I have the same handle as you, you need to remove that plastic anyway and bend the metal to fit the handle

I removed the whole assembly from the car, clamped it on a vise, and then just shaped it with a pliers.
