OIL reset

On reset for oil life for my 09 SS/TC:
Used manual instructions..no dice. It was WRONG!
Says to HIT *INFO* and *RESET* at same time..no works. You have to punch *INFO* and *Scroll arrow* at same time to get to MENU and *OIL RESET*. Then, they have it wrong again..to reset and get *ACKNOWLEGED* you have to press the *SCROLL ARROW* not the *RESET* button!
So, basically the *Scroll Arrow* takes the place of the *RESET*..at least for my 09 SS/TC!

Well I don't know if its the same but in my 06 sc all you do is put the key in the ignition, go to oil life, and then press the gas pedal 5 times. Try that!

I vaguely follow the oil life meter, I change mine b/t 40-50% and thats usually around 10k miles. Oil still looks ok, but I dont feel comfortable going longer than that.

I'm usually around 53% life left at 5k, that's when I dump it also. It may drop to ~47% by 5k miles in winter but you don't have any of that.

Nothing wrong with 5K using Synth...in fact ,I'll probably change at 6K with Pennzoil Ultra from now on.
