Mine look exactly like stock CAB bushings. If it helps I purchased them from a group buy in 2010. They got installed around may 2011.

John, correct me if I am wrong, but I though OTTP stated on the FRONT mount, yours were not machined on the main face (example: mount is 1" thick and billet block before machining is 1" thick), where as they used a thicker billet aluminum, so they could machine all faces. You should be able to pick up on and see if the front mount shows machining marks on that face?

This might help you recognize who's is who's?

Post a photo of your aluminum front mount... You can see if it was machined on the "width"

This is one way I believe to tell the two parties mounts apart, as Josh expressed the visual standpoint in his mounts (not that it does or does not make them any better)

So what you are stating is there are 2 diffent quality of voided bushings used?

Over all a voided bushing in rubber is not a good choice, as to why non-voided bushings are being used by 2 vendors now (ZZP and Powell)
It is really important to get the facts straight Aaron.

Insert , what I call class B is voided, made by Bilstein, costs about 8 dollars, and has shorter center sleeve and soft alloy jacket
Insert, what i call class A is voided, is made by Dorman among other GM suppliers, costs about 25-50 dollars ( $58.00 dealer cost at the height of supplier bankruptcies in 2008) has a longer center sleeve and a hard steel jacket. I use these class " A" inserts.

An Insert, non voided, is used in Malibu and Cavalier, and is used by ZZP their mount ; afaik it is not rotated ,at least that is what Zoomer told me. The non voided bushing can be had very inexpensively for around 12 dollars.

As the seperation failuers in the OP picture, and what I have seen, is around the center sleeve or the outer jacket, and based on Malibu and Cavalier failures of this non voided bushing, I beleive that the non voided bushing will eventually fail the same way.

It is entirely possible that all these bushings will fail, depending on use, time and stuff. The class B bushing lasts about 6 months shortest time I have seen, and still works for most people
I have not had a class A bushing fail.

Poly does as you say, Aaron find a point that in your mounts, the center sleeve becomes a loose fit through wear. It is, based on what I have seen with your mounts, about when the vibes settle down a bit. You have said that the vibes settle down after a week or so?

That is all for now.

well maybe not lol

Aaron the machining was almost identical, but the ott finish was finer is all. the machinist took more time. The outside dimensions were the same .
The pick up points are not, and I can measure that and figure it out easily enough. Like I said, people send me Ott mounts. Had a set here last week, purchased by a local guy

Good explaination of bushing types and quality. I think this really helps the forums understand.

I am not sure if you picked up on the front mount... and machining look of it. Look at OTTP mounts, the face (on the ~1" thick side) is not machined on yours correct? Where as the OTTP made ones are, from the photos posted in prior months.

John I am just trying to point out a way to help you figure out whos is whos... So you can point the fingure easy at the other guys if needed, and not have to warranty something you did not make, nor profit from.

I feel bad for these poor guys to tell the truth and Ott are Ott, well documented. You may be correct, but I am not sure as our mounts are machined on all sides, but I will look.

any folks who get screwed over we try to help here. thanks for helping Aaron

I was in that GB. October 2010 I think it was. Installed mine in Dec 2010. Seem to be working fine still. Mind you, I don't have too much mileage on the car.

Figured out today that the bushings in my mounts are control arm bushings for a '99 to '06 VW ( beetle, golf etc)

Rock Auto has them as low as $2.xx apiece, up to $12.xx apiece

My local Vatozone has lifetime warranty for $18 each

Hope this helps!

Get the Powell front mount and use an LNF stock rear mount with the spacer.

After checking outside to get a view and notice I have the voided bushings, I see my front mounts still holding up for a good year now. So I'm not going to get OCD over this. I do get vibrations, but that is expected when you have stage 2 OTTP Mounts. I did have Stage 1 first with no vibs, until I put on Stage 2 trans mount.

Check the rear mount as that's the one that is known to fail.
