I've also been reading on these two stages. I think they are moreless equivalent, zzp comes with heat exchanger tho. I'm interested in what people have to say here

So it seems like you guys like the OTTP better, but how does the OTTP compare to the GM version.

I put together a stage 2 kit on OTTP (granted I wasn't sure what I was doing) and it came to $580ish with a heat exchanger and the GM Stage 2 is only $560 from GM Parts Direct, and it's warrantied longer than the car warranty is correct?

I will get one of the 2 kits soon, but i don't know which to go for

OTTP or GM

all the GM stage 2 kit is, is a pulley, hub, belt, injectors and a tune. the injectors are almost maxed on that set-up. with the OTTP kit you get a 2.8 pulley with hub with bigger 60lb injectors and a better tune that doesnt run pig rich like gm stage 2. and you get the heat exchanger while the gm stage kit doesn't come with one

to add to blazin, the 2.8 inch pulley that OTT comes with is smaller than the gm stage 2, which is i believe a 3". Which will lead to better horsepower and torque numbers once installed. The heat exchanger will help a lot too. Go with OTT

so the ZZP stage 3 is cheaper than the OTTP stage 2, is it better to go OTTP 2, or ZZP 3

OTTP stage 3 is way too much money for me.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I'm personally going with OTTP stage 2. What about heat exchanger though, is it really necessary, because I'd prefer to find a cheaper one elsewhere.

i bought zzp's stage 3. sent back my old pcm got refunded the the 125. so the stage 3 only cost me 515 and thats with the s3 h/e.

and for the people that don't kno. the zzp stage 3 is a gm stage 2 tune. i really don't kno why its called a stage 3 then. but it does come with a h/e and its way cheaper than ottp and gm stages.

I have the ott stage 2 kit, I hope to buy dual pass for the car, but I have seen zzp came out with a single pass cooling system for the intake manifold.

just curious why you try to support the TVS so much when a turbo will push more power? I'm not being a dick just asking your reasons

TVS pulls harder with no lags.

No it's not. The ZZP Stage 3 uses a ZZP tune. Maybe they base their tune off of the original GM Stage tune, but they alter parameters within the tune to work with the pulley size & injector size you select.

Back to the original topic of this thread .... I love my GM Stage 3 setup ALOT, but if I were to do it over again I would purchase the OTTP Stage 3 kit.

I still remember why i bought this car brand new...Supercharged, love that torque/sound/feel and every kid on the block has turbo, hell i have built many in my day

but look at what is being done, i have been hoarding motor parts for an eventually building the motor, and sprang for the TVS when i had the cash to do so

The numbers by Darkman/Area/Rodimus/deathscyth...etc. are what i would like to achieve in the future
