Press harder. as hard as you can. then let abs control everything else. that is how abs is to work.

IMO ive found that in very nasty ice/snow, ABS is a good depth finder for your brake pedal.
start braking until you feel your abs start to growl at you, if you push harder your abs will just work harder and lockup/release to heavily causing you to get less overall braking because to much brake on ice and snow will actually make you speed up.
thats just my personal experience in wonderful 2 feet of snow with an inch of ice alberta winter.
