Paint or wrap
Paint or wrap
I recently just bought a 2006 2.4 ss obviously considering the age my paint is old. Couple dings here and there nothing too serious doesn't bug me a whole lot. Eventually I'll be looking to either get it wrapped or repainted (the car is yellow) any price estimates as to what I'm looking at for a paint job or a wrap and would like to know which one I should go with
Wrap verses a decent paint job will be cheaper. But a decent paint job will last you a lot longer than wrap. Don't know that I would spend the money on either for a sport sedan as all Cobalt's aren't worth a whole lot. Unless you plan on keeping the car for quite some time.
The thing is I an on keeping the car I'm never going to sell it I plan on lnf swapping it when my le5 goes so I really want to take the time to make my car nice now the wrap is cheaper but how long would a good wrap last?
I've heard it looks nice for 2-3yrs and that's about it. Swapping a lnf in your car takes quite a bit of work from what I've heard. You would be better off throwing a supercharger on or a turbo with lower boost.
Go do some research. People have this down to a science.
Just plasti dip it.
And I really doubt you'll keep a beat up non SS long term.
It's not worth wrapping unless you can do it yourself.

a proper wrap is almost as much as a proper paint job. if you have dings, dents, even paint chips, they all have to be fixed before its wrapped or they will all show through.
