part out or as is?

So I am just throwing this out there but I am debating on what to do next year with my car situation so just seeing what you guys think. I am going to try to move out early next year and trying to find money to help pay off some payments. So I will most likely be selling my 06 silver LS and then trying to figure out what to do with my SS. Again Im not a 100% sure what im doing so im just throwing this out there.

How many of you think i should part the car out.....or sell it as is? I am also thinking about keeping the car but sell most of my stuff except for my performance goodies.

not sure what you have on the ls, but if you sell it with the mods on there you will lose the money. nobody will really pay extra for the mods on the car, you'd be better off selling them individually.

you put all your sweat and blood into your SS, and its one of the best i've seen, so I say keep it and everything on it. Sell the LS, and just be careful with your money. I sold my fully modded RX-7 for next to nothing when I was desperate for money, but now I regret it, and it woulda been alot smarter for me to have just kept it, as I lost a TON of money through all the mods that were on it and what I got overall for the car. I should've just been careful with my money and sucked it up..........hell, even gotten a 2nd job, just to have kept it. Luckily, I love my SS more than I did the RX, so parting ways with it wasn't too bad. It was just the parting ways with all the money invested in it that truely sucked.

Dont think about selling ur ss, no offense but no one wants to give **** for these cars used, i went to carmax and a dealership, some of you have seen my car in person and its in perfect condition, an 05 with 16k on it, they offered me 11k for it.

x2!!!

Yes, for used SS/SC's, dealers will give you 10,000k, then sell it for 17,000k. They're manual and most americans don't want manuals.

plus, most dealerships, especially carmax, will actually take away from the value of the car b/c of the mods. When my friend took his '03 Civic EX to Carmax to get some dough for it to put down on his new car, they told him that they would've given him more for it if it wasn't for the mods. Their reasoning was that less people will be interested in it people people will think its "been abused and raced a bunch" b/c of the engine mods. (which I guess was partly true, but even so the car was mint and ran great). He ended up only getting a measly $8,000 for it when it was easily worth $11,000, and had about $3,500 in mods on it.

I'd see if I could sell the SS as-is. That thing has gotten some attention in the past... I'd really like to see you get a premium price for it... b/c it looks really damn good. You might be able to get 25k - 30k for it from a real enthusiast. I hate to see a real show car stripped back down and reduced to daily driving status
