passenger side window

My passenger side window goes up much slower that the driver side window. I was hoping that someone could tell me if this is just my car or do all cobalts act like this.

Ya i noticed this about 20 in after i got my SS around 2 months ago. i took it to the dealer to be checked out and they gave me some bs line saying "oh its taking power front eh driver side window.. or some thing lie that, and that they cant do anything its just like that" basically they told me exactly what i already knew, there isn’t much u can do about it but get used to it sadly enough.

Yes.. my Z24 had the same thing as well. It definitely seems true that the windows share the same power. They go up fast individually, but when pressed at the same time, they are slower. I think that is the way it was designed.

The Cobalt has a faster window motor in general than the Z24, so it's even less of an issue.

so you could say that the drivers side window is an SRT4 and the passengers side is an SS/SC?

Just making a joke

Yes, both window motors are fed from the same power source. Technically the motors should split the current equally, but the power that is going to the pass window has to go through multiple harnesses and there is always some loss through the interconnects. Pretty much all cars are designed like this and are affected to a degree. This is normal.

mine does the same thing...i think the wiring goes to the driver's side first, then to the passenger's side. meaning the driver's window gets as much as it needs and the passenger's gets the rest

If you get someone to use the passenger switch for their window and you use the drivers switch for your window you'll see they are the same speed. Its just when you use both drivers switches.

That's an interesting observation. Certainly a product of the electrical wiring.
