pedals

pedals

i wanna get some nice pedals for my 5spd. do they come off, or is it a whole assembly. anyone replaced them yet?

I was looking into pedals also.....I really would like to get some black and blue ones but I also like the GM pedals.

They are an easy fix. The clutch and brake are just pedal covers. The old ones slip off and the new ones go on. Now depending on which brand you go with it may be a different mounting method. Some use hardware, some use adhesive, and some use velcrow (stay away from that last one). I got some Tenzo R pedals from Gravana. It was an easy install. I used some adhesive to mount them temporarily while I put the hardware on. The hardware is not specifically designed for this car so I did some modifying but I don't think it's neccessary.

I believe the GM kit replaces the entire accel pedal which is not hard to do. The tenzo kit I got was just a cover so I had to modify the pedal some. It was simple. I just drilled into the stock pedal and then mounted the pedal using some hardware.

So there you go. You have several options really, all are easy to install.

I know I did a how to on the GM Pedals. The only one that was a bitch was the gas pedal, because you had to replace the whole assembly on it.
