Possible Blown Head Gasket

I went to Sears the day before yesterday to get a tire put on my car. During their inspection they called me and said that I have a blown head gasket. I was given no information as to why they think it is blown. I have had no leaky fluids and my cars temp has been normal. The oil fill cap does have white foamy crap on it, but that can mean moisture right? That doesn't necessarily mean the head is blown.... What do you think??

car is not losing coolant and oil is not getting milky? it's okay if the oil cap has that milky residue on it. it's the highest point in the oiling system and that's condensation. car is not blowing any smoke is it?

Sounds like they took it for a little "test" drive and now it has a blown headgasket.

******* AHAH. At least I got a free tire out of the deal.. I had a bald tire so I went to get a new one put on, I was going to buy a 2nd one just to make it even because I also have another tire that leaks... They told me my rim has a bend and that is why it leaks, so I didn't have to buy the 2nd tire just a new rim.... Well they forgot to take the tire I had bought previously out of my car and they just took one off of the shelf and put it on. hahaha serves them right eh?

Had my boyfriend check out my motor a bit, my filler cap smells of gas. What can that mean?

No surprise coming from the type of place. Sears, Canadian Tire, Wal-Mart etc All really bad places to go, unless it's for simple thing's that are impossible to **** up on.

Not sure about the other two but I know Canadian Tire's mechanic's work off a commission based system. Therefore any extra repairs they do that it was not brought in for they get extra $$. Bad way of doing business IMO.

Thats normal. When the car is cold there is LOTS of blow by because the rings arent sealed to the cylinder wall yet. So gas and air seep past the rings.

1 reason you never beat on a cold car.
