So this is not cobalt only. I developed a trick for brake bleeding cause i hate having to find some one to pump the pedal. I buy i brake reservoir cover, drill a hole, put a bolt on wheel valve stem into hole, hook up a bicycle pump to it and pressurize. Only holds about 10 psi before res seal leaks. Not ideal but works great, since the res is small i have to pump often and keep fluid from running dry but now it's a one person job. And it works to pull vacuum for clutch bleeding, just remove valve core, rig up a brake bleed vacuum pump, and follow gm instructions. Res seal does not leak under vacuum.
They work like your contraption except they also incorporate a reservoir that you fill with brake fluid that will replace the lost fluid during the bleeding process. If you had a pressure reservoir, filled with brake fluid, between your pump and valve stem lid yours could work the same way. However at $55 this product is a good value. By the time you figure in time, money, and convenience to make one yourself the Motive unit would probably come out on top. The motive unit makes routine fluid changes very easy.

^ that is such a clutch purchase even if you have a second person to help way easier than the pedal pump method.
I have had one of these for 3-4 years now and have used it many times. It works great and is aging very well, works like a charm each time. Definitely recommend this!
That/s a nice unit, i was planning on using a new pesticide sprayer to do the same thing with, never been used.
Just never got around to setting it up.
I just picked one of these up mainly for the cap so I could vacuum bleed the clutch. Works great so far, I opted for the aluminum cap as it was only a few dollars more
Yes, a very good option than the very expensive gm tool.
I didn't even know this thing existed, i browsed the web for a while when looking for just a cap that would fit my radiator cap pump kit, i have an adapter that fits the older Saab models brake res but did not see anything so i made my own. I would have bought this instead if i saw it so Thank you very much for the link.
