Prolonged sitting without driving (6 mo)

6 months ago my car ('06 Cobalt SS/SC) got a nail in one of its tires (not to mention all of them are bald). I have been saving up for new tires and since I live close to my work and my wife has a car I haven't driven it since then.

Searching the internet has given me conflicting advice. I have been letting it idle for 15 minutes every 1 or 2 weeks. Is this bad? Every few weeks I drive it around the parking lot (a bit weary because of the tire) It has half a tank of gas. I'll be purchasing new tires within a month or so.

Any tips on ensuring that I don't screw up my car in the meantime?

Thank you in advance!

well when you get it going run that tank out and fill up fresh before boosting 6mon is about the limit i leave gas in without adding a stabalizer...

its good to drive it instead of idle it, as you wanna get everything moving, turning, twisting so nothing dry rots or starts cracking. idleing helps none of this.

any car that is gonna sit for more than 6mon without moving or running most def needs to be drained of all fluids (execpt brake) and put on jackstands to not sag the suspension comp in any way.

hope this help a little
