Go to any other car forum site and you will see the same kills on any cars. I don't understand why you would ask a retarded question like "do you guys think your cars are fast?" No douche bag, we dont. I personally went out and was like "Hey, I need me a really slow car" so I bought the cobalt s/c.

I'm glad you have a 11 sec car. Good for you.

The car is fast for the price I think. Considering you are getting a new car not a POS old car and factoring price only in mods. You are hitting 11 runs for how much? I got a good deal on mine so for around 19,000 after upgrades it would be a close race under a second difference. What is the price difference? Not the fastest car in the world. I never brag about speed. I always say when asked that it is a great car for the price. Not many cars are going to look as good, go as fast, and be as cheap.

Some of you guys are a disgrace to Cobalt owners. Please grow up or shut up, you make us all look bad.

I think wastegates question was an honest question and not meant to start any crap. If it was oh well then he's a troll and he will be dealt with. It's sad that he can't even hang around here and have a simple discussion, which is what he was doing without you guys jumping his back. I think many of you have an inferiority complex issue.

Remember, there is ALWAYS someone faster then you, whether you own a DSM, Cobalt, GTO, or Bugatti.

you know..i thought that fuel mileage was possible at first until you said
8.5:1 compression
on that low of a compression (idk stock compression, but im sure its higher), driving so mildly on the gas the turbo doesnt spool, youd gotta be going slower than a 4,000lb civic

Thank you. At least there is one rational thinking adult here. I thought a discussion board was meant for discussion, not to bash on someone for having an opinion.

8.5:1 is stock compression for 2G pistons. 1G pistons were 7.8:1. My car makes full boost at around 3800 RPM. Between 1500 and 3500 where normal driving occurs and not loading the engine the car spends most of its time in vacuum. It's not thrilling acceleration but not any slower than your average family sedan.

PS: I'm going to test drive an SS tomorrow. I'm liking the car from what I read online, I hope it shines from behind the wheel too.

I can appreciate the fact that the car is new and there isn't a lot of aftermarket support out right now. However, when some members are named "stangkiller" or have anti-import statements in their signatures I really begin to wonder what sort of drugs these people must be on to have such delusional thoughts. Perhaps it's just that in the particular area of the country you live in there aren't a lot of modified cars or higher end sports cars running around on the streets. Not so here in south Florida, I drive a pretty fast car yet everyday I see at least 2-3 cars that could hand my ass to me on a plate and I only drive about 8 miles to work. Maybe it's the fact that tracks are open year round here that encourages people to modify cars more heavily than other locales. I'd like to hear some opinions on this so speak up!
i think you should research things before you run your mouth about them.
