I dont see the advantage of this unit... I thought only old school muscle cars has these...
with a 4 cylinder it would sound ugly! If you wanna go for it, (which I highly discourage) you can commonly hear it refered to as a "dump". It just diverts the exhaust flow directly out under the car without going throught the cat, exhaust and resonator. it is placed right after the header, directly under the front seat. The muscle cars had a mechanical lever fastened through the floor boards to cut off the flow. This would definitly attract cops and should be used for "off road" use only. good luck.

You wouldn't have to have a custom downpipe made, but you WOULD have to have the stock one cut and that welded in.

it makes for a nice feture on our srt's.....with a 3" dump hooked to the stock echaust theres gaines to be had, but when you open the cutout...its like having a 3"turbo back exhaust...really nice gains (at least for srt's)

i have it on my ss its works fine ill admit it doesnt sound that good in the video i made but it saounds a little better in person, but there are some gains with it , it took of about 2 tenths at the track, if you look under the car on the driver side by the rear wheel there is a 90 deg elbow where you can install it. there is also a video on quicktimeperformance.com it sounds pretty good in that vid.

pm me if you want any more info

i have one on my car

it is really loud, but the good part about it is i can close it with the flip of a switch and no one will ever know. When i get home late at night i close it so the negibors won't get mad. It sounds just like a friends SRT-4, he has 3in Turbo back. Close it when i'm going down the highway and it sounds stock, takes about 5 seconds to open all the way.

i don't really feel any gain (butt dyno) but i did pick up 2 MPH in the 1/4 no dyno yet. Also it lets you know this car runs really rich. When down shifting it shoots fire out of it, so it kinda has a cool factor. Once i up the boost and add some more mods i'm sure it will come in handy.

There isn't alot of room under the car if you want i can take pics to show you.

There's a SRTwith a little over 400hp to the wheels with one of these cut outs on it, it's got a great sound when he gets on it and the cut out is open.
