Get the damn V1 and then you won't have to worry about getting tickets that anyone will have to pay for. 2 years of speeding under V1 and I have not been pulled over once for speeding.

in Escorts dreams, lol. The Arrows are so nice to have, you know exactly where those turds are coming from. My dad had a passport 8500 and i got him a V1 and he said he'd never own anything else.

I got a V1, I would never use anything else. From the tests I've heard, the passport is just as good reading radar, but doesn't have the remote display or the arrows. Also, no matter what, make sure you get something with the new Kpop band capabilities. Cops here in michigan are now using those new radars, and unless your radar is programmed for it, your radar won't detect anything.

Does anyone have any experience with the battery powered ones???
I am not sure if they are made by passport or escort, but i was wondering what the quality/ battery life on these is..... seems like a good alternative for hardwiring. Just dont want to give up a lighter outlet for a radar detector and dont like the wires.

I recently got the V1 and love it. At first it picked up a lot of junk, but now that I played it with it, seems to work great.

v1 and escorts both work great. only difference are the arrows. i couldn't care less in which direction the cop is, if i hear my **** go off i'm slowing down...period.

check out this link for test of different radar detectors.

Between the two I'd get escort because i'd hide the valentine to cover how ugly it looks, which would kill the purpose of the arrows. :P

hey

just to let u kno i have a uniden its like 30 bucks that i bought for 15 off my friend its old but it saved me from many tickets so i think there all the same to really to tell u the truth no point in spending that much and stop driving so fast go to the track. save ur money buy a 30 buck radar detector and buy something nice for ur ride. and 1 thing radars dont stop people complaining a lady can call in a car and a cop can look for u either way so no point in my opinion.
