Random Prob/Q

I went in for my first oil change Friday and my DIC is still reading that my oil is at 70%, in other words, it read the same before and after I got the new oil. Is there something I need to reset there? Or is the dealership supposed to reset something for me? Or is my car just being goofy?
Another thing. My driver's side window is scratched up as if it's catching on something when I put it up and down. Whatever it's catching on is on the outside since that's the side that's scratched. There are several vertical lines going up and down my window - and one thick one that's right in my line of vision - drives me crazy! Has anyone else had this problem? (don't think I've seen anything posted about it) and should that be pretty easy to fix? It looks like crap and the whole obstruction of my vision thing is annoying too.

Go to your oil life on your DIC and hold down the reset button, this should return it to 100%. The dealership was supposed to do this but apparently forgot. Maybe give them a friendly reminder next time that it's on their oil change/15 point inspectiion workorder and they should have done it for you .

I have a small scratch on my driver's side window (kinda hard to notice) that was too deep to be buffed out but I'm not sure if it came from rolling the indow down or it got racked with a rock or something. Try rolling your window all the way down and scrub the hell out of the material that hugs the window. When I got my windows tinted it was covered with crap on the inside and ruined my tint job but the company was nice enough to re-do it "under warranty". If this doesn't seem to fix the problem (like you're really hearing scraping) take it to your service department and have them pull the door panel and inspect it.

D'ya think they'll get a new window for me? This one is scratched deep enough in enough places (obviously from the window going up and down) that there's nothing that will fix it short of a new window.
I should have had them check this out when I got my oil changed but...it was a bad day, guess this just means I'll have to take it in again.

no they wont replace it, i had a problem with my windshield, my stereo made my rear view fall off and i put it back on about 2 times and the third time it fell off it took a chunk of glass out of my windshield that was about an inch wide and really deep, so i went to my dealer and he said GM dosent cover glass and i had to go through my insurance company. I had a 0 deductable on glass(i am pretty sure you should to it is comprehensive damage) so the insurance replaced it for free

no no no. there's instructions on how to do this in your manual. the car has to be off to reset the oil meter. you just can't hit the reset button while the car's running. with the engine off but the key switched on, you hit the info button like twice i think to get to a user menu, then switch to oil and reset from there.

it's all in the manual

Welll...I did actually have to take the 30 secs to read the directions in the manual...but the good news is...it worked!!! It'll probably be off a bit bc of the amt of driving I've done since Friday when I got the oil changed. S'ok, it's probably better to go by the mileage anyway.
