rear disc conversion on 2.2

i am looking into doing a rear disc brake conversion on my 2.2 LS
i have done this before on a 1988 toyota camry by taking the rear disc brakes off of my 1990 toyota celica.
problems i ran into was the e-brake, obviously it uses a different method than 4-wheel disk would. i solved that by keeping the car in gear.
now i know that the 2.2 has 10.1" rotors in the front i will be keeping that the same in the rear so that the steelies will fit back on.
as far as the braking itself i do not have ABS so that won't be an issue. im going to buy all new hardware for the front and transfer everything from the front to the back.

anyone have any input other than it's a stupid idea. cause i know there are plenty of idiots who will say that.
i would like real constructive critisism and any help/ideas that will be useful.

are you going to make brackets to make them fit? ive been looking into a rear disc swap, but ive been looking at my project car for the parts to possibly see if its a near likely swap with minimal mods.

some cavis are 5 lug, but then you could also go with like hhr wheels or malibu wheels, or even the ss wheels

Don't use the front brakes for the rear. If you are set on trying to do something like that, use a set of SS rear brakes and put those one. They will actually fit the axle, and the parking brake.

i was looking into the same thing to see if maybe a LT or an old cavi brake system would fit, or you can just buy the conversion kit from SSBC that cost almost an arm and a leg.

ub3rn00ber on ionforums bought the rear conversion kit from gravana (ssbc brand IIRC) and works great from what he's said.

Yes. The stock 15"wheels will fit. The rear disks are actually smaller then the front.

The only possible issue (since I haven't done this directly) would be hub incompatibility. The SS uses a 5-lug hub, which by itself isn't an issue. However, the mounting locations for the brake assembly on that hub may be different. I don't know.
