Rear Jacking points...

i keep seeing everything just say "lift the rear" and nothing about where is safe to actually jack anything up at... the only place i would feel comfortable is also the same place i'm going to put my jackstands... so is there a tow hook or something we can jack up the rear of these cars with?

short of using the scissor jack to do each side it dont see how its done... and i really dislike jacking up cars side to side to put them on stands...

if you have a regular mechanics jack just put it under each rear spring perch and do each side separately, if all you have is the scissor jack then you have no choice but to use the jack points on each side

i have a 3 ton jack... i've never liked the idea of jacking a vehicle up by an unsprung component... it was always weird jacking my mustang up by the differential.

if you jack up each side separately you won't have an issue and IMO it's actually better than using the scissor jack because you're not resting the weight of the car on a single pinch weld, instead the weight of the car is on the suspension which is made to handle that load.. just my thoughts

i usually jack it up right forward of the rear beam right inside of the pinch weld there is a bolt there and a spot right were the jack fits so then i can jack it up and fit my jack stands underneither it easily

ha i think ur only options are pretty much the frame or pinch welds. im pretty sure there isnt a lift point directly in the rear like ive seen on scion tc's (i work at toyota). like someone mentioned u COULD lift from the rear springs but im not a fan of that. i cant really say that that would be true if i worked on my car at home cause i dont ha. i have access to lifts at work where i do all my work. so its pretty much pinch weld everytime for me.
