The list goes on, what a nightmare, also the part that they missed painting they took it back in painted it and told me it would be fine after drying for 5 min. oh and the trunk interior carpet on the drivers side is missing it's clips now.
I think thats all I have noticed so far, they told me to bring it back tomorrow at lunch so the manager can look at it........

So lets see what happens I guess....

Any advice from anyone would be much appreciated!

It is a claim, the insurance company is Farm Bureau of Texas.
They are listed as one of their prefered body shops.

wow!

I am a painter at a high-end car dealership body shop that has a very good reputation for quality work and this story amazes me, i wouldnt expect this type of story from a large dealership's shop.

Our shop could've had the old 1/4 off and new one welded in the same day. When we do a 1/4 panel we always pull the rear seats outand cover everything interior wise up with welding blankets. We have a very expensive spot welder that makes the welds look like the factory spot welds, which doesn't require any grinding or priming of the area. Sometimes it will come over to the paintshop that same day or the next day.

yeah, imagine how I feel, I mean a huge GM deal and body shop certified, you would think high quality.... but I would have even expected a better job from some guy who owns some shop, names bob's body shop, you know? I mean ok they screwed up the quarter panel, they fix it, but man, to screw up a bunch of stuff that wasn't broke, come on

I know what you mean, thats rediculous! Our dealer sells Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi, VW, Lincoln, Mercury, Nissan, Jeep. We put the same quality into our work whether it is a $120K Porsche or a $5K P.O.S.

Well I recieved their "report card" in the email today, and of course gave them bad reviews in it, and I contacted my adjuster who forwarded my email of everything to some guy who works for lynx services and handles their direct repair program, so he in about 20 min I will be heading to their shop to talk to the manager, everyone wish me luck...
ps. I found more stuff wrong with it today... blah

Update - yes I am still dealing with this body shop / dealership, they finally got all of the parts in to replace the parts they messed up, well one came in messed up, they fixed one peice, scratched it and the peice below it, and said they would detail my car, looked like they washed it off with a water hose and a sponge, and they cleaned up the new parts they put on, I vacumed my car before I took it in, and it was dirty again, man I just can't beleive this place, quick to half do everything and anything, wanting to make their customer happy, evedently does not exist with this place. So once again to everyone in the DFW Texas area, stay away from Classic Chevy in Grapevine, unless you want well over a month of crap, and lots of promises that are not kept, I will let you all know the outcome of this all if we ever get there.....
