I'm throughly enjoying my Cobalt!! I love everything about it. After years of owning Cavaliers, I was so interested in the Cobalt when it came out though I really didn't check into them all that much till a week before I bought mine. The interior, yeah it's plastic just like the Cavalier but it's put together much more better than the Cavalier. ON the cav, you could see the paint on the doors inside the car because the door panels didn't cover the whole door. The doors closed with a ugly clunk and the body looked like a cheap car.

I love the way the doors close on the Cobalt. They are easy to close and they don't make a awefull clunk. The body parts actually fit together evenly. Talk about the shifter, this is one of the easiest and enjoyable cars to shift. My cavalier shifter was just plain bad and it tooks weeks to get used to when I bought it. The SS stereo is excellent! The leather seats are comfortable and feel good to sit on! I can't even get into all that I like on the car because I LIKE IT ALL! ok? Cobalt Rocks this chick!!

The cobalt is cheap GM junk. Cheap power? NO WAY this is the slowest car in the place. A honda si will own this car. VW rules. This is a cheap pos fpr little children. Go pop your zits. Like I said before you all drove cavaliers before this, so enjoy this new supercharged one. I love my ss/sc really its not that bad. Just more weak attempys at a car by a terminally ill GM.Cobalts forever

The Cobalt SS/SC is a great bang for the buck. As others have mentioned that is what Chevy has always been about. And I find it hilarious of you comparing vehicles that cost between 5-15k more. The Cobalt was not developed to compete with the new Charger.

P.S. I have never owned a Cavalier. In fact, this car is the lowest sticker I've ever payed for a new car out of my last 4 vehicles. And so far it has definately lived up to bang for buck!

WTF! Am I back in english class? The cobalt is bang for the buck. That's all it is. The cobalt is a kids car. When you grow up and get some hair on yer nuts you'll see that. GM makes junk. I agree with most of his points... granted my cobalt is nice for what it is... decent for the money... but I couldve got an RSX-S for the money... wouldve been hella faster, way nicer, wayyy bigger aftermarket, better quality... etc... but the Cobalt just seemed convenient. There are alot better cars out there... GM got it decently right with this one... its got all the normal person needs... in terms of power, comfort, ride quality, etc. The SS... well.... it could/should be mush better.

 

i own a ss/sc and yes it is a cheaply made car, im disappointed and happy at the same time. Its nothing special nor will it ever be. Its just another cavalier with a supercharger and nicer styling

Nope. There is no way in hell I would ever buy a Sunfire/Cavalier. I'm also 30 years old... and let me assure you, I haven't had zits in years.

The Honda SI is already out... it's not faster than supercharged SS by a long shot. But that's ok... it's good at other stuff, if that's important to you.

 

It is going to have it's problems as well, but on paper, it's a killer car.
