regrets
i dont regret buying my cobalt...love it to death, i just regret getting it rite when it came out cuz i didnt get the lsd. Now because of that i'm so undecidied on if i want to keep it or get a soltice gxp or saturn sky redline. the potentail of those cars is going to be sick with all this aftermarket thats going to come out for it real soon.
I honeslty have no regrets about getting this car. All the SRT-4's were gone by the time I was ready to buy... so I never had a chance at one.
The SS/SC is all I could have really hoped for anyways. Inexpensive, quick, reliable, good mileage, head-turning looks, and decently rare. I don't need too much more than that.
I looked at Civics too... but you just see them everywhere. I'm happy to say that I know a good percentage of the SS/SC drivers in my area.

YOUR NAME IS CHEVYSALESMAN,...RIGHT........................ hey way to push your product. There are forums for all kinda cars, makes model, ect......... but to have your main identity to be chevysalesman.......................... and not push the bowties? I know you are just stating facts that anyone can look up and google ect..................... mindboggling. Either you are one hell of a bs'er when it comes to selling cars or you probably don't excel at it. Just my opinion.

Sometimes I wish I would have scooped up this one particular orange 06 RSX Type-S with full A-spec gear (body kit, spoiler, and suspension) that I came across while car shopping. It was $28,500 which was a good deal compared to installing the A-spec stuff on a stock car at the dealer.
In the end I'm glad I got my cobalt. My buddy who ended up getting a NBP 06 RSX Type-S at the same dealer that day was wowed by all the little features my car had over his, and to top it all off it was faster.
As far as the SRT-4 goes, I dont think I could live with that kind of car. I'm not an all-out horsepower kind of guy. I need to have my creature comforts too, and the cobalt had exactly what I wanted (Heated leather, 6 CD mp3 + aux, DIC, and overall better looks in my opinion).

I like my cobalt ss/sc but I really wish it was cheaper to make it quicker....I like the srt-4 for the fact that it can handle 500 hp on stock internals and its turbo which is way more efficent over our m62 s/c...reason I bought the cobalt though is becuase I wanted something brand new.
and I also had a nitrous injected cavy that I really liked as well sorta leaned me towards the cobalt.

First off, your way out of whack by suggesting that people here are saying that the Cobalt is the best car in the world. I haven't seen that at all.
So your "pot calling the kettle black" euphemism has no real reference to anything being said here.
Also, I'm one of the few (only?) people on this board that have actually owned both cars. Therefore, I'm one of the few people here who can quantify both. That being said, there IS a difference between how these two cars drive. Some good, some not so good.
And none of these cars can be compared to their base models. That's ludicrous.
Both of them are entirely different animals from their more basic siblings (which is why we paid almost 40% more for them).
Please peeps, let's maintain some form of logic here.
"jeez"
quit your f***in' whining and switch.
