replacement for my cobalt...

a few months back, my 2006 cobalt ss/sc was totalled by a super nice little ol lady whom wasnt paying attention and blew a stop sign.
so today, i brought home my new lsj platform, a 2004 saturn ion redline. 100000kms, purchased from original owners in thier mid 50's, no kids, no pets. no aftermarket add'ons. they bought it new for $36000 after taxes, i paid $6000 tee-hee-hee. mint interior, came with winter tires and rims. found it in a little town 1.5 hours north of my home town of winnipeg, manitoba, canada. it is a gem.
i have a few pics, but it was -30 celcius this morning and my hands were pretty shakey.

dont know which route to go with it. first to lower this 4X4, then source out turbo parts, or keep the m62 if we ever get E85 up here.

it looks clean for 100km, so that's like 60k miles? If so not bad, not bad at all.

Wow ..... great price on a nice IRL ...... If i had know about the Ion's before i bought my first SS (SC) I prolly would have gotten one. The half door's would be alot easier getting the kid's in the back . I'd love to kind a blue comp package 06 or 07 someday just to have a car that whined again. You really got a steal there.

yeah, he told me brand new, after taxes, dealership add-ons like paint protection, rust proofing, interior stain guarding bla bla bla, it was $36000 and change. he was choked to sell it for so little but he just wanted to give it a new home.

he gave me all maintainance records, dealership brochures, an ion redline promotional poster thats about 4ft tall, all the manuals, warranty and tire manuals. two sets of keys with the power lock, trunk, alarm buttons, and 4 snow tires on rims one year old. but he couldnt find the original sticker as of yesterday. he said he knows he had it. but he had to leave after the transaction to go sledding across lake winnipeg. he will find it for me and ship it to my door.

that's a hell of a nice replacement. But I can't ever see paying 36k for one. that's crazy! you got a good deal though!

dealer add-on's & taxes don't count

I for one would be interested in seeing the window sticker for that car once you get it.
