Canada Rim Size

Please forgive me if this is a stupid question because I have been searching everywhere for the answer and im not to car inclined.

Anyways, I am looking for new rims for my car. What size of rims will the stock tires go onto? I have a 2006 Cobalt SS with stock rims. I have been searching for rims and have run into options like size, bolt pattern, and offset. Please help a pour soul and give me some insight!

Sorry to sound dumb but all the rims have sizes as 17x8 or 17x7. And you dont know the offset for the plain SS?

SS 2.4: 17 x 7
SS Supercharged: 18 x 7

And of course a 5x110 bolt pattern for both. A lot of sites out there will let you put in the make and model of your car, and only give you wheels that have an offset and bolt pattern that will fit.

42 mm I do believe. But like I just said, it shouldn't matter.
