shell V-Power?
shell V-Power?
So i was just gettin gas and the guy behind the counter told me that within the next few months shell V-Power 93 octane would contain more nitrogen that it does currently and that it should be even better than the current shell 93.... can anyone confirm or deny? and also.... is more nitrogen in gas good for a motor or detrimental.... or does it not actually do anything and its just a selling point?
Nitrogen is an inert gas. I believe it's added to gas to help clean the valves. From what I have read on here our motors are not really benefited by this as we are direct injection, the unburnt fuel doesn't pass through the valves.

There is a difference but it's going to be small, it isn't going to change your world over the previous shell gas.
My buddy showed me his fill invoice for BP once (he works there). They put around 1000-2000 gallons in to refill the gas station. The "Invigorate" (BPs cleaning product) is about a half a gallon thats added in (if i remember correctly).
So basically the cleaning additives they advertise really dont do anything.
