Thought some of you guys might find this interesting.

Almost $30 is steep for a socket, but I may get it anyway for convenience sake.

I was gonna say. I do own alot of snap-on, but i have no shame in saving $15 on a tool that I use on a not even regular basis.

Apcsox, i got your PM. Yeah man, you buddy in the Matrix was cool. Nice system he had too. He ended up placing in the show that day and i was the only one that didn't place. oh well.

Autozone and Pep Boys carry the 32 MM sockets made for the oil filter cap (shallow socket) too -- and are cheaper.

the problem with using a regular 32mm socket is that even a shallow socket is way to deep and they are 1/2" drive, making it hard to get the extention down there. the snap on, or any of the other filter sockets are very shallow (just tall enough to fit on the cap) and 3/8" drive. it makes it far easier to get the cap off with the proper tool.

I just use a regular 32mm with one 1/2 inch universal joint at the socket and a 6 inch extention. Works like a charm everytime.
