So my Cobalt may have met its match yesterday.. A 2007 Nissan Altima.
Agreed with most on here....... how the **** do miss seeing a bright yellow car. i understand the blind spot and A-pillar theory (that's why they are called accidents and not purposes) but DAMN!!! Bright yellow?!?! He woulda had to really not been paying attention, doesn't know how to drive (no blind spot check), or just a really bad series of events. He wasnt intoxicated was he? What ever the case maybe, I'm glad ev1 is ok.
Calm down, maybe the guy wasn't looking his way or his rearview or A-Pillar were right in the way. I've had many moments where I'll be pulling up to an intersection and someone will be going the right speed to be blocked by my rearview the entire way. That's why I always do a quick glance to make sure that there isn't someone there.
I totally agree, I was struck by a Staples truck that ran a stop sign and have been messed up for the past year. 1 Yr and 3 days later I still can't work and have no hope of anything in the near future
The up side is I did go from this:
So I guess its not all that bad. But if you have any pain from the accident you might wanna get checked. I felt completely fine until I started taking pics and doubled over in the middle of the road unable to painlessly move

i think it was about even, the altima looks worse cause of the missing bumper but doesnt have suspension damage or anything. my cars front end is FUCCCKED. LOL
to be honest im probably gonna get some pos car so i dont have a car payment. that car was almost paid off, had it since 05, and i refuse to get into another long term loan... this is what pisses me off the most about the whole damn thing.
If they total it though you'll get a check for the value of the car. Use that as a down payment on a new car and do a shorter loan if you have good credit, then pay it off early. It'll actually drop your payment lower than it was because you'll be financing less.
