^^ What he said.

Those brake pads are obviously not of good quality. However there are good brake pads out there that aren't GM.

Yeah, I like them a lot, but its hard to be objective because I still need to change my brake and clutch fluid. It looks like mud and I can feel the system doesn't have the pressure it should.

They make better pads, but these were fine for my purposes. And there is essentially no brake dust.

You and every other SS/TC. It's just how they are. Mine rarely ever squeal now at 16000kms, unlike every time I touched the brakes when I got the car at 3500kms.

I know, pretty much every GM vehicle I have ever owned does it. Just thought they would have been able to remedy it by now haha. Good to hear that it should stop once i put some more km on now.

My dads 07 Sierra never did it, actually he just had them looked at after 130000kms and they said his are right around 50% life still and they usually start replacing them at 80k.

My moms 2010 Terrain doesn't do it either.

Funny because out of all the GM vehicles I drive on a daily basis, maybe two or three squeak and its intermittent.

The GM pads are great for being quiet. Except for anything Brembo but that's the nature of the beast.

I knew I should have went with a Sierra!

But I guess now that I think about it, my S10's did, our old Astro van squeeled like a pig, and my moms Equinox does it quite a bit too (still pretty new), but other than that none of our other GM's do it. Must just be bad luck haha.

Lube the front pins and the rear sliders twice a year. No more squealing. Mine were the same. I took it to the Dealer about it twice. They said "normal” = BS. Lubed them myself and squealing is gone!
Needless to say - that Dealer has lost my business.
