I have the ss exhaust on my car and I am cutting off the muffler and adding another high flow muffler. what is the Inside diamter of the piping right before the muffler and what is the Outside Diameter

P.S I know the exhaust is 2.5" then right before the axle it goes to 2.25"

 

If your cutting it off then why dont you check after you cut it?

Solution: C equals Pi times d
15.7 cm = 3.14 ˇ d
15.7 cm ÷ 3.14 = d
d = 15.7 cm ÷ 3.14
d = 5 cm



Now you can think outside the box. go outside and measure the piping around to get the circumference and then use this sweet formula/ example to figure it out

 

2 1/4 OD I think. So that means if u want to put a muffler on directly to the stock piping, the muffler inlet would have to be 2 1/4 ID to fit.
