I could only last about 3 months with the ss comments......finally just told everyone no its not and walk away. The first few months i honestly heard the "is that an ss" atleast 5 times a week.

haha i see the same thing at the track. People looking all over the motor trying to find out what the hell it is. I just stand back from afar and laugh.

lol @ people flipping out over badging. Put a 2.4 badge on there and be done with it. Heck, just sharpie on 2.4 if you so desire, just shut up about it. I know there's a CC08 on the board, we don't need a second one with the reputation of the first. Geez, does it matter what people put on their cars? I know I'm true to my car, I have a 2.2 badge from 24 Designs on my decklid..

24 Designs 2.4 silver badge with black writing: ***************************/index.php?m...products_id=59

Just stating the facts Ive had a lot of people at car shows put their head as far down into the engine bay as they could to look for plumbing Since all they heard of the SS was supercarger and now turbocharger they expect it to have one if it has SS badges. I just stand back and watch as they move around, poking their head around, and then when they stand back looking dumbfounded I walk up and explain it

yah that actually sounds like a good Idea, might try that myself, about80- 90% of non-cobalt owners think all SS' are supercharged

Everyone who isn't adding to the OP thread question, should leave the thread. Your wasting bandwidth and everyone's time.

------------
try

www.YourEmblem.com

They just do letters, numbers and alphanumeric symbols.. no custom logo's etc. They do have a few different fonts to choose from too.

One font option is pretty close to the COBALT lettering font found on our car (looks better than the Saturn 2.4 emblems), and it is the same basic dimensions as the standard SS badges found on our cars too.

I have this on my car. I have had them on for a while now.. a year and a half I think, and the plastic coating started to tarnish a little, but a little plastic polish cleared it up back to the original shine.

How about 2 differences: On the sport the throttlebody is different and the intake manifold is a 2-piece glued-together assembly (SS 2.4 has a one-piece cast intake.)

Do you agree with whoever now just messin' with ya

so basically your saying the owner has the right to decide if something is an SS.
it has nothing to do with GM.....

Uhh, yes, its his car now, thats why theres no law against putting different badges on your car, because its yours, he could rebadge it and say its a toyota, nothing gm can do to stop him. You make it sound like, because GM did it, it must be right. Where hell you been?

the law has nothing to do with this.
this discussion is not about if you CAN,
but if you SHOULD.

should is a matter of opinion, opinions vary, just because YOU say its stupid, doesnt make it a fact. the OP didnt ask what people thought about doing it, he asked for some help and where he could find someone who made or sold the badge he was lookin for

if you honestly think someone asking how to wrongly badge their car, is going to illicit no response other than "here heres a site where you can buy everything you need to misrepresent your car"
well, i dont know that theres a car forum on the entire internet that would do that.

im getting sick to death of this "i didnt ask for your opinion" bullshit, cc08 started it, now everyone uses it. here look at what I did!!!!!! praise me praise me!!!!! (p.s if you dont like it, dont post here, because i dont want your opinion)
if you didnt want opinion, use google. its much faster.

or you could just not be a complete tool or is that too hard for you to do? Go watch barret jackson autoshow, then show up there and call out the people who made all the replica cars and sell them for thousands of dollars. Many cars sold there start out as a base model and they replacate them as another mode;. Like camaros, RS made into SS model with SS BADGES!! OMG WTF?!!

STFU, for gods sake, its identical to an SS model from 07, such as mine, i have an 07 SS/NA and i could give 2 ***** if a guy with an 08 sport model which is the exact same as mine, wants to badge his as an SS.

If you drove past a guy with an 08 sport rebadged as an SS, what would you say? you would say nothing because you wouldnt even be able to tell. And if you getting sick to death of "i didn't want your opinion" bullshit, then quit being a ***** and let him get his question anwsered.
