Happened to come across this while looking at a few SS/SC's in my area..

 

Someone probably traded the seats out before they traded it in. VIN looks right.

 

Before I bought the G5 gt I almost bought the ss/sc, the one I took on a test ride had cloth seats

 

Thats certainly a possibility, but kind of an odd thing to do..

 

Someone was saying you can get the ss/sc with the cloth seats now.

 

But you couldn't for the '05s right?

 

No you couldnt get it for the 05's or 06's

 

do you guys think this was a canada only thing,because they were cloth

I got an 05 SS/SC and the only opitions in Canada were Sunroof, Onstar/side airbags and color inserts. We didn't even get G85

 

maybe some lardass that couldn't fit into the regular SS/SC seats special ordered the car with the regular cloth seats?

 

Honestly if they were smart they'd offer options for cloth seats, premium sound delete, sunroof delete, manual locks, and manual windows.

Makes no sense to build a "performance" car and then bog it down with all that extra weight...

 

I know alot of people that detest leather seats . Given that , this guy probably had them swapped out with a LS or LT when he bought it new . I would assume a dealer would be all over that swap since they could charge more money for the LT/LS . Thats kinda ghetto though that they left the leather door panels in though .

For 2007 , they did NOT add a cloth option .

 

yea someoen prob did a swap..why... beats me LOL

 

If you've ever sat on leather seats when its 100+ degrees outside with the sun beating down you'd know why.

That and cloth is more grippy than non-G85 leather.
