ss/sc intercooler

hey guys i was wondering if any of you upgraded your intercooler in your ss/sc, if so what kind did you get? and did you notice any power gain?

We don't have an intercooler... we have a Heat Exchanger... and yes quite a few of us have swapped them out for a better one or we are running 2 of them!

a gm tech told me that the ss/sc's are intercooled? weird, do you have any links where i can get one? do they help anything if you upgrade? or do two of them as u say lol

You can also get the 03-04 Cobra H/E's that is what I am using... it's not as big as the one's posted above but they do work!

the ottp is a hundred or so dollars more expensive, is it worth it or should i just get the ebay one?

Nah, I believe that kit comes with everything you need. Brackets, and hoses! Plus they are a pleasure to do business with!

No they aren't bad installing it... now getting all the air out of it is the hard part! WHen you fill it up... leave the cap off the filler neck with the car running... and just take time and go slowly filling it up!

And do a distilled water/ Dexcool mixture!

You can install with the bumper on or off, off is going to be a lot easier to work with though. The install can be done in about 1~1.5hrs.

thanks for the advice i'll use that for sure, i'm plannin on using the ott h/e only so i'll probably take off the front bumper, nnot looking forward to it, that kinda stuff likes to fight me every step of the way

less heat soak lower iat2 temps so not as much power robbing heat

More a "LOSS OF POWER" than any gains... cooling mods are just as if not more important than power gains!
