SS/SC rev limiter

Hey all,
What is the red line for this engine? And does it have anything to warn you your getting close like an engine timing retarder.
Thanks

Yes, it starts retarding the timing before the red line. I guess the SS/SC does not have that.

Well, I am an avid biker and do all my own work. I have an 02 Yamaha Road Star that is very customized. I like to know all I can about my car and the best people to ask are the guys that drive and tune them.
I know it is easy to lose track of your RPM when your in the twisties. Have to get a shift light to keep me awake

I do believe the redline increase to 7000 is stage 1...which I realize is included in the full stage 2 package.

Indeed, both kits have the same redline upgrade.

Has anyone else noticed that there is a thick red line on the tach that starts between 6000 and 7000 rpm. Also the factoy rev limiter is a fuel shut off, I'm pretty sure there is no factory car with an ignition based rev limiter, there all fuel shut offs. I would like to get an ignition based rev limiter on my car (sounds wicked when you hit it)

LOL I actually knew that but typed 2 anyway. Eh, I've been high on antibiotics for the past 3 days, I'm lucky I knew we were talking about Cobalts.
