SS Spoiler Torque Specs

Does anyone know the torque specs for the two nuts that attach the ss spoiler arms on each side?

I was gonna pull the spoiler for my carbon one bit decided to just do center blade.
Just wanna make sure I don't screw up my deck or spoiler.

Thanks in advance

When I did it I did it tight, but not so tight that it was going to crack/stress anything. In other words, I didn't like honk down on it. If it starts to make sounds, then back off a half turn or so.

I bought mine to decrease the "flapping" at speed or behind semi trucks and stuff. The visual aspect was nice though.

You and me apparently have similar ideas. We tend to post in each other's threads haha.

I haven't put mine on yet due to snow, but I can tell it is a lot sturdier.

I was gonna go wingless to see how it looked, and then try the full carbon wing, but after seeing how strong the stock sticker was, I decided to leave it alone, and will just do the center as originally planned.

Do you have pictures?

Sure. Here are some I took for an antenna picture request for a vendor. I may have others if you'd like. The last picture is what the pillar looks like when the blade is out.

I used a hair drier and heated up the side panel for a while and then got some floss between my fingers up underneath a corner and slowly pulled the panel off. The panel is held by double-sided sticky tape kinda stuff. After that, I repeated for the other side. There are just two bolts holding it on each side. The spoiler came with bolts so I used those to insure I didn't cross-thread or something in case they were different threads.

I thought about going wingless myself. I'm not sure if I'm willing to deal with trying to hide holes and have water leaks though, so that's discouraged me from doing it so far. From a few angles I especially like the look with the spoiler.

Sorry I don't have any direct pics of the insert. I cruised my pics and it occured to me that I don't think I've ever really taken any.

Is that a serious number?

And I have that antenna as well
Did you get your wing from modernperformance?

I looked at their's first, since they're local. They didn't have the CF side panels and the finish on the one they showed me had several imperfections, so I didn't go with them and went with CobaltAddiction.

Ironically, the one I got from CA didn't have the CF side panels either... I'm guessing that they stopped including them. The finish was good on the one I got from CA.

After seeing both of them though I think that they both come from the same outfit up in Maryland.

It seems we have similar tastes indeed.

Mine came from Carbon Creations, but was ordered from Modern Performance.
My girlfriend bought it for me a while back. Was supposed to only the center, but came as the whole spoiler. I do not want to use the arms, so I could you sell you them for cheap if you want them. Or did you mean the end caps? That are stuck on over the cemter nuts? Mine came with those as well.
There is one slight imperfection in the middle of the center, but I doubt there is much I can do about it

The endcaps is what I meant. I didn't buy the whole thing because I didn't know if that would look as good. As it is, it looks very nice while retaining the OEM look. It looks like it could've come like that, which I like.

Yeah, the endcaps are stuck over the bolts. In that last pic you can see where some of the sticky tape stuff still is after I pulled them off. Definately heat it with a blow drier if not a heat gun before trying to pull them off. I'd also recommend floss because it won't mess up the endcap if you want to put it back on afterwards. I would not recommend a screwdriver or something as it will scratch it all up unless you do a good job of wrapping it first.

Yeah, I think Carbon Creations may be the maker that made mine too. That's cool that you got the pillars too in case you wanted to did want to put those on though. I think that was a more expensive option.

It was $100 more, but at total $250 was paid.
Mine came with the end caps in carbon, but that might be due to getting the whole wing.
It should look good with carbon caps on red. I like yours with stock ends though.

I just hope the imperfection isn't noticeable. Its a slight wave in the weave
