I wonder what the cost difference will be between the 2.4 Sport edition and the SS/TC.

Because a 2.4 with a Turbo will destroy the SS/TC, so if it is $3k + more for the SS/TC, people might spend the money to upgrade a 2.4 their self.

My car is my baby and I won't sell it out to own a turbo car! Its like being a Leafs fan... no matter how shitty they play, how many games they loose, I'll always be a fan to the end! My car might not be brand spanking new anymore, its newer model might be a little faster, I don't care... My 07 SS/SC is MY car and I love it!! LOL

I think that the SS/SC will become popular with the autox guys--just as the Mini Cooper S supercharged version is pretty big in autox because of the instant acceleration for the short courses. So that's always good!

the turbo cobalt doesnt phase me at all. i love my supercharger and wouldnt trade it for anything (mabey a tvs). the instant 13psi when i slam the throttle down is a rush, none of this lagging turbo feeling. in my area the ss/sc is pretty rare, ive only seen 4-5 others around. the s/c cars will end up being something special as they are a set apart from all the turbo cars out there.

the turbo cobalt has issues to overcome to get above 300hp, biggest thing being fuel injectors and the small turbo. thing is, change to a bigger turbo and you lose your 260ft/lb torque at low rpm and gain more turbo lag.

na not pissed at all..after all we knw the weakness of the ss/tc(tranny)and with the power it makes stock,i would say a s2,2.9 would give it a good race...ya turbo does feel faster because it gives u that kick, but what people dont realize is it gets tired top end, thats why boost falls down to a certain psi and holds that psi till u shift into next gear..so when johny b said it feels faster, its because of the turbo kick in...

superchargers build power threw out rpm, where the turbo gets full power at certain and rpm and hold it so makes it feel faster, but it actually isnt

No, more like the twin brother. Definitely not the little brother. Amazing, LSJ haters. Who'd of guessed?

Eh, I could care less. I'm slower than an SS/SC, and im way slower than an SS/TC. But I knew that going in. I still love my car and have alot of fun with it. If I wanted to go faster, theres always a turbo kit or spray.

Yeah I agree with others I think a supercharged 2.0L is the coolest thing, and I wont give it up for that TC and when I get all my other mods, and that new TVS, it is on, bring em all on, even the new 09 ss/tc line em up and let em all listen to a real winner whine as we nicely pool away from them

Black06ss I like your comment down there with the hp and powersteering lol, I take it people really pm you and say "there is no f'ing way you have 8756283764826 lb/ft torque you liar!" Lmao I can see it now haha

Your interpretations of said experiences are completely false.

You basically just told me that;

Turbo = instant kick with no top end
Roots Blower = builds boost is actually faster but doesn't feel it.

...

Yea those roots blowers have serious lag and make enormous top end power when compared to turbos.

okay,lol... turbo'd gto with 600hp will pull harder than a 600hp all motor gto,but at the end they are the same..why?

cuz the turbo makes u think its faster because it rams to into ur seat

My car just got totaled. I have about 19k to get a new car, but I want an LSJ. I wonder how they will tune the LNF with the new DI technology. Is it possible? Also I have not heard much about tuning on MS3's since that is DI as well. Does anyone know anybody that has?
