I'm having the same problem. I just practice a little every once in a while, like leaving the stop lights quick. I got the Ingalls Stiffy, too, which helps a little.

The Cobalt SS/SC just isn't good from a dig. The best thing you can do is get some really sticky tires or drags, lower the car, and so some other suspension type mods to help. Other then that all you can do is practice. I have found that trying to dump the clutch at high RPMs doesn't work cuz all you will do is spin. You have to go at about 2000 RPM then ease into the gas so you don't break the tires loose. Then take first up to 6000 or so and hit second then ease into WOT - just be careful not to just mash the pedal to the floor when you hit second or chances are you will just break the tires loose.

my ls is the opposite. i dont know if its because of my (small) header leak or what, but my punches just dont go so well. or maybe its just because i RULE at launching. i can take anything from a launch but since its an ls most things beat me( owned an rx-8 through first gear because of my launch...lol)
