the DIC will say service air bag, just hit the arrow to scroll through your DIC functions, and it wont show up again until you start the car. So basically you just have to hit the arrow every time you start the car, kinda annoying but I'm use to it

Unless you have the DIC on your wheel like the 2007's (mine) did.
Then you have to pull the fuse to the sensor (not like it matters the airbags gone anyway) to get the SERVICE AIRBAG to stop coming up. I think it was fuse #24 but it was a while ago so..

If you do this, change the wheel, make sure you wear your seatbelt EVERY time you get in the car. Hitting your face on the wheel whithout an airbag is going to be messy to say the least

Yes it is.. and if your insurance finds out its likely they will drop your coverage.. I would check with them first.. cause you sure wouldnt want to do it anyway, get into an accident, they find out and say sorry were not paying to fix your car.

I got the adapter from Cobalt Addiction, cuz it was the only place I knew would have the right one. I suggest you order it from CA since everyplace I went to gave me a different part # for the adapter.

that looks sweet, i might just go with something like that, what model is that steering wheel????

What has me curious is when i tried a swap like this on my mustang it would have cost up to 1000 dollars just for a change like that, cause appearently on the mustang you would had to change the steering wheel shaft and everything
your gonna wish you had an airbag i mean i woulda died if i didnt have one but just my 2 pennies

Unless you have racing seats with a 5 point harness, I personally wouldn't.
