Stereo
Stereo
My front two speakers have slowly been going out for a while now. They would randomly cut off then randomly come back on. The gap duration would be totally random (days, weeks, etc.). Now they do not come on at all.... any ideas? If not, does anybody know how to get passed the whole locking mechanism for a new factory stereo? I looked on ebay for a new dash stereo and I can get one for about 30 bucks. The only problem is that Chevy said that it would lock up (anti-theft mechanism), and I would have to bring it in and pay them 150 bucks an hour to bypass it.
^^^^ x2
Likely the speakers themselves or the wiring through the door post - they get flexed every time you use the door, they will break down eventually....
And $150/hr to unlock a replacement stereo?????? Hope they include lube in that price
Should be 0.5 tops if the guy / gal knows what they are doing with a Tech II
